Ashanthi Wins Big
At the Indiego Music Awards 2012, South Asia’s 1st Music Awards, Sri Lanka’s Ashanthi De Alwis won 3 awards – Gold for Best Oversall Female Vocalists, Silver for Best Pop Act of Asia and Best HipHop/Rap Solo Award.
In walking away with these three awards, she beat other big names such as Qayaas, Brodha V, and Shadow.
Speaking about her achievements, she stated that she is happy about the opportunity she gets to showcase Lankan talent on a global scale through her music, adding that she is honored to win the awards for Sri Lanka.
